Change email after disconnecting Facebook

I no longer use Facebook, so I have disconnected my account and reset my password.

I have two questions regarding this:

1. Do I always have to login using my account number or can I use my email address?

2. Why can't I change my email address or edit any other profile settings? They're all grayed out and there's no save option.

I have a Premium account, if that matters.

A user can access his account login with his/hers e-mail address as long as the account was initially created using this e-mail address other than a Facebook based account.

Thanks for asking about this!

Only users who have created their accounts directly through the Spotify website can change their email address by themselves.

The thing with Spotify accounts created via Facebook is, that the only way to have your email address in the Spotify account changed is to reach out to support.
