When I try to login on my computer with my google account I get a red box that says "Oops! Something went wrong, please try again or check out our  help area When I ask for a password reset it says it sent the email but I never receive one.  When I try on the app I get an error message saying "the email and password combination is incorrect" if I try to put in my email and password I get the same thing. If I try to login without password it says that my email doesn't match a Spotify account. I had spotify open on my laptop for like a week I made a couple playlists and it logged me out a few days ago and now I can't log in. I hope this can be fixed. One of those playlists took a long time to make and it wasn't done. Thanks in advance for any responses!

I have exactly the same problem. Every time I see only 'Oops, something went wrong'. And I cannot reset a password, I don't get any emails from Spotify. I don't understand what the problem is.

Thanks for posting in the Community.

 

Just to make sure, could you double check you're entering the right email address both in the login field and in the password reset form? Just to be sure.

 

If you still don't receive the password reset link, could you check the spam folder of your email inbox as well?

 

Are you able to login with a different account on the devices you're using?

Have the same problem, i guess someone just stole my account, i dont reacive any emails, in app its telling me that my password or mail is wrong but i didnt do anything, and yes i can loggin in another acc

and in the same time on my phone it telling me know that my mail doesnt have an account in spotify yet, i've got logout from every devices in the same time, so how would i get my account back?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

 

Here are a few things you can try:

  • Try creating a new password here.
  • If you remember your username, try logging in with it instead of your email.
  • Try to log in from here.
  • If you have a free account, make sure the country settings are correct. You can update them with the steps here.
  • If you're not getting our emails, check your Spam/Junk, Others, and Deleted folders.
  • Make sure you're using the correct email linked to your account. 
  • Go to password reset and enter possible email addresses you own. When you enter an email that's registered with Spotify, you get the message that the password reset email was sent.

If none of those help, we'd suggest contacting our Support Team so they can help you with that.

I am having the same issue with my Spotify account that was created via Google login. Spotify gives an error and I am not receiving any password reset emails. 

Spotify login is broken..... Please fix !!!!

If you've tried all the steps that @Susan_GP suggested and you're still experiencing this, it'll be best to try reaching out to our teams directly. 

 

As much as we'd like to help you further, we think you should get in contact with them as they're the one in charge for the accounts. We don't have access to the necessary systems and tools to look further into this.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I tried. your link to reset my password and that didn't work I did try logging in with the a username that didn't work. I can't check the country settings as I cannot log in. I did get the email to confirm my account. On this account I didn't get the email to confirm my email address for a couple of days. That seemed odd. I tried to reset my pass word with every email address I have. Thank you for the link to contact Spotify. I couldn't find a way to contact them directly. That will be very helpful.

My Question or Issue

I'm trying to log into my account but the password isn't working .
I've tried to reset the password but when I try to update the password to the new one I get a "Oops someting went wrong" message.I've tried switching the browsers,clearing cache and opening in the private window but is still the same.
This issued was caused on Friday and it's Tuesday and is still the same.

Alo I've opened the Dev Tools from Firefox and I get 500 on

I got logged out by Spotify around midnight November 29 CET (about 39 hours ago).

 

Whenever I try to log in, I get the message that my username (email) and password don't match even though I'm certain that I use the correct email and password. I tried to change my password several times. I get Spotify's email with the link to change the password, but the change always fails. I get the "Oops! something went wrong, please try again." message.

 

Also, I've tried to delete the storage folder in the AppData folder, I re-installed Spotify, restarted my computer ... No change. At this point I don't know what to do anymore. I can log in via Facebook, but I don't want to start over with my playlists and everything else.

al descargar la app me pide inicio sesion el cual accedo y no me abre el navegador (ni con brave ni con google chrome) tambien al pedir ayuda al soporte directamente no se puede, lo cual se me complica,espero solucionen eso

I hope this message finds you well. I am facing an issue with logging into my Spotify account. I would like to activate my Premium subscription, but unfortunately, I cannot remember my username.
