Searching Users

We currently have 3 accounts with Spotify and are unable to search other users on all 3 (such as our friends' accounts). When you attempt to search it prompts "no results found." Settings have not been adjusted and this issue has been persistent for almost a week. Please advise!

Hey @Thesportsbarre1,

You should be able to look up the profiles by entering spotify:user:username into the search bar in the Spotify app. Make sure to replace username with the username of the profile that you'd like to look up.

No, there are no spaces in usernames.

That's very odd. On which device are you trying it?

Hi, I have the same issue.

I'm using Iphone 6s and 6s plus but also with the desktop version, I didn't find any user.

Also if you search me, you don't find me... my user name on spotify is sara.camele

Try finding yourself in search bar entering spotify:user:sara.camele 🙂 That'll work.

No, I cannot find you when only entering your username. The more followers you have (you currently have 0 I believe), the more likely it is that you'll appear in Search.

Ok but... don't kill me 🙂
I don't find any user and last week I was able to.
For example... A friend of mine massimiliano borelli (I receive the error message) but if I try with another profile, this user appears (find the attachments).
Indeed, If I search in the app i.e. "Marco" I see: Song, Artist, Podcast, Album, Playlist, Profile but no user 😱

Hey everyone,

Spotify's currently looking into this and there should be a fix soon. For now, you can look up other users by typing spotify:user:[username] into your Search bar in the Spotify app.

Some profiles use first and last name. And not a username. How do you know username of an account?

When I search for first and last names with Spotify:user: I get attached
Plus you have to press the magnifying glass icon on your keypad of your phone. Or else Spotify will just say no results. Also if I type in Ryan it just gives me some random Ryan not a list of Ryan's.
