My Question or Issue

I'm using my work computer, and I work on my computer all day as an analyst.  For years I've used spotify to listen to music and podcasts while I work.

Then today, all of a sudden, when I'm listening to a podcast and typing for my job.  The desktop overlay pops up and pauses and starts my podcast over and over again when in the middle of typing in a different application.

I have the setting "Show desktop overlay when using media keys" DISABLED. Yet this continues to be an issue.  Again in all the years that I've used spotify while working, this has never been an issue until today.  I can't even get through the podcast. I opened and closed Spotify, the setting is still disabled, yet it's still a problem.

I thought it might be a Windows setting, but after googling, it appears this is a specific setting in the app I'm using (Spotify).

Hi there @mysteriousbranch,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

Can you perform a clean reinstall  of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you provide us a screen recording so that we can have a closer look directly from your end?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!
