Media keys no longer work (New desktop app)

My Question or Issue

After the last update, the media keys are not working while i'm out of the spotify app, before the update i was able to manage music (play/pause, stop, past song, next song) with the media keys in my keyboard, also the banner with the song info that was displayed by side of the volume level is no longer showed. I need to control the music with media keys but without the need to open the spotify app every single time that i need/want to change music or play/pause. Someone else has this issue? (i've checked the configuration of spotify and found nothing).
