This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

I think Spotify invested in podcasts, but it's not going well, so this is a very pathetic way to show that people are using that feature by shoving it down their users' throats. 

I don't know who they think they are fooling. But @spotify do not assume your users are idiots. In the age of social media, this will backfire on you.

Wow lol, That is insulting. Im sorry you have to go through this nonsense like the rest of us. Personally, if they aren’t going to make the home page customizable then id rather them just remove it all together. We are all smart people who know how to use the browse button to find music. A home page is meant for personalization, not company personalization. If I had more money I would legally go after spotify for this **bleep**. lol. Try not to let it get to you though, the company has no interest in our wants, just our wallets.

I am giving Deezer a trial as the interface seems more music focused though
it does support podcasts

Yet another reason why this is not simply an issue of customisation. The above is an example of how inappropriate content could severely impact someone's mental health. 

I started a thread asking that users who had been hacked or were seeing inappropriate content could have the content removed and Spotify closed it within half an hour and merged it with this one, stating that it would be more likely to get passed.

Well, not if they're not listening. The actual number of Spotify users who are either distressed, annoyed or simply irritated by having no control over a service they are paying for is likely thousands of times higher.

I'm currently thinking about the best way to cause a stink.

If spotify spent half the amount of time they do censoring comments on this site on actual issues, this would have been done 4 years ago.

Open support tickets over and over and complain. Only thing that's going to work.

Honestly, what's the point of having and using the community forum platform to list the features the 'clients' are suggesting/needing, if the 'provider' turns a deaf ear to it all. Some things would/can/should be implemented quite easily. Other things like changes to low-level, genome type things etc, takes time. This, on the other hand, deplorable

Spotify doesn't listen to or respect their paying users. They're the brat of the music streaming world.

I recommend Amazon Music Unlimited. I sucks to switch, but at least Amazon isn't an absolute brat when it comes to listening to their paying users. They're not going to shove features down paying user's throats like Spotify does. It's high class, and you can try it for 30 days free.
