This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hi,

Just one more person adding to this already insanely long list... This app literally has no landing page that I'm aware of; there's a page titled 'Home", but it certainly isn't my home. It has stuff that I played in the last few days that no longer feels relevant, a long list of 'Daily Mixes' that are for some reason **bleep**ing branded on your profile never to be removed, and podcasts, of which I have never so much as clicked on before. Not kidding, I have never once listened to a podcast on Spotify; why the **bleep** is it on my home page? And if I was going to start, it wouldn't be with Joe Rogan's huge **bleep**ing veiny forehead with a creepy superimposed third eye... 

This app has such potential. Make people's home pages customizable, it's not that hard. You have a ton of engineers, just do it already. The people who are obviously just looking at**bleep** then get busted when it pops up on their home screen are **bleep**ing weird, but they have a point; just because you listen to something a few times doesn't mean it should earn a spot on the app every time you launch it. 

If the home screen isn't customizable by 2022 I'm gonna end up just biting the bullet and manually transferring all my playlists to apple music. I use an android and a pc, but**bleep** is ridiculous.

The Home screen keeps getting worse and worse... I like spotify for MY music, not a bunch of advertisements for spotify curated podcast. Please allow users, especially those paying for the service, to customize what appears on the home screen immediately!

Yep. I’m sick of a bunch of **bleep** I don’t care about. Nothing but “Higher Ground Productions” clogging up my start page. I’m here for music. I’ve been a paid member for years. Straighten this out or I’m going to bail.

Usability isn't Spotify's goal. Their goal is to improve their "engagement" metrics. Want ease of use? Don't use Spotify. Vote with your wallet.

Just signed up for an Apple Music subscription after being a loyal, paying Spotify customer for many years.  I’ve probably convinced a dozen or two other Spotify users to subscribe in the past, but Spotify’s refusal to let users control what we see on our home screen is a deal breaker for me. 

Spotify, you used to be for the independent little guy.  You’ve lost your way.   Sayonara!

No surprise here: over two thousand votes to implement this and the official response is “not right now.”

Spotify clearly doesn’t care about their users… and this isn’t the only example of that. As a result, I can’t imagine they’ll have my premium subscription around much longer.
