This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Podcasts was the worst thing that could happen to the app for music. Half of the start screen - podcast suggestions, but I don’t want to see it! I have never listened to podcasts and am not going to! I have already installed Apple Music but it sad to turn off Spotify Premium. For now. Let's see how much my patience is enough

Since you clearly don't care about paying members, can I ask that you at least make the podcast suggestions a little bit relevant? Just so I can skip the agony groan I do whenever I open the client where it shows me sportsball and other undesirables?

A User should be able to disable or customize the Home Page. I hate the "Episodes For You" Module. I don't really care about women's menstruation, horror stories, and other sh***t. I don't want to see it on my Homepage.

I pay for Spotify specifically to avoid advertising, and the blatant SEO and promoted "recommended" content is a slap in the face to users. It's obvious you view your users, premium or not, as nothing but ad data revenue streams for you to endlessly experiment with using native advertising disguised as UX. If you truly value your advertisers more than your paid subscribers, then I will take my business elsewhere.

Please give us the option to hide podcasts. I never ever want to look at podcasts in this app. I dont care how much money you paid Joe Rogan, I don't want to look at this useless **bleep**

Between the junk that Spotify puts on my home screen like, "Shows you might like" or "Find your favourite new song today!" on top of the Music recommendations made because I have a smart speaker attached to my account. The home screen is currently a frustration more than anything else.

I don't understand why this would be a "Not right now" problem, when plenty of users have identified this as a big challenge across many posts. Especially when Premium users are asking for ways to tailor their experience that they are paying for. We pay not to have advertising and we pay not to have Spotify try to shove Podcasts down our ears that we will never listen to. Joe Rogan Experience is a waste of my time and Spotify is promoting their content above the music I want to listen to. It's not what I pay for.
