[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

There are a lot of "suggestions" on the homepage which are obvious marketing pushes. This includes things I have no interest in or even things that I despise. I have, for example, never in my life ever listened to a podcast. Ever. Yet I am pushed these shows to try. That you show it once, fair enough. That I literally never even check anything out should be a fairly simple thing for you to track and customize. That you then also push shows from people I despise makes it worse. This also exposes that you have a either a poorly implemented customization/targeting on the app or that you serioulsy only care about pushing content that you want me to hear (and that I don't). Especially the shows from people I despise make me angry. Stop doing this.

Yes please, removal of "Episodes For You" would make Spotify home page usable again. Like I do not know a single person that listens to this**bleep**. And the matching algorithms are not working at all, all the "Episodes For You" are completely out of my scope or hobbies, not even getting close.

Remove**bleep**, literally nobody wants it.

Another example of Spotify ignoring their customers. Really cool of them.

I’m just waiting for my Apple TV+ subscription to end so that I will move to Apple Music.
The fact that it is the end of 2021 andI cannot disable podcasts in my homescreen is Spotify trying to shove something many of us don’t want and / or don’t care.

I’m so fed up with being bombarded by ‘recommendations’ etc. I pay for this service so at least allow me to customise it to the way I would like it to look

I have no interest in podcasts yet spotify keeps putting them on my home screen. I would like to be able to remove them.

Most of my page is now Spotify Wrapped, Podcasts and the same
recommendations for Music that it always shows me.

I Dont Listen To Podcasts

I Have Never Listened To Podcasts

I Will Never Listen To Podcasts
So please, just stop shoving podcasts at paying users

Ive done the voting game yet again, and came back and seen same generic non-responses from spotify, yet again

This is such a rudimentary feature to fix via a simple "remove" icons or setting toggles that its just ridiculous that years later and still nothing happening to this or any linked issue or ideas

Ideally I just need "recently played" or shows that I have actually hit "follow" with the ability for me to remove it.

While you're there, please don't forget about Apply Careplay .. super annoying right now with very limited ability to find the shows you are actually listening to.
