This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

a "HOME" is where you are meant to feel safe but when i am greeted with **bleep** like this (see pic) i get on edge, it feels like high school all over again and being forced to do sports i had 0 interest in.
1: i know what songs i listen to, you don't need to follow facebook and their stupid memories thing

2: i have 0 interest in podcasts and people telling jokes (i have pages i follow that put out the humor i like 200 times a day), if i wanted to listen to people talking i would go watch Parliament time (that is atleast semi-interesting!)
3: i got your app and paid for subscription so i could just have music when i wanted it

another option, allow us to choose what page to land on, imo i would choose my Library (the only place i really liked at high school because it wasn't full of people pressuring you to try things you didn't want to)

@Xantosh I know what you mean mate, that's awful. Someone needs to take Spotify to court over this, I'll join a class action.  It's even more crazy that they have nasty shows like **bleep** show and C U M town, yet they won't allow us to say **bleep****bleep** on here, because it's obviously wrong to FORCE people to see this kind of **bleep**.

Can some legal listener here start a class action suit against them, there's enough evidence of the mental health issues they're causing, including things like displaying this **bleep** on peoples home page in front of their friends, kids, co-workers and making them look like that this is what they're interested in.

Come on, anyone know a good lawyer?  It's the only way they'll listen

Do you, Spotify, realize that watching a thread grow this big is really really bad? I am so annoyed at getting podcasts shoved in my face on the daily with no way of removing it. I am actively looking to find other services, even more so after it's become clear you barely pay artists. Shame on you for not listening to your community while trying to push your own bile. Shame on you for paying your artists so terribly.

 I’m new to Spotify, my teenage son talked me into paying a premium for the family. So - I’d like to drive my car with the Spotify App on for music, however I don’t need the word **bleep** and Elite Escort displayed on the car screen. Seriously wth? My kids are in the car reading this too.  Get your act together. This is not only irritating but tells a lot about what you think about your paying customers. If it doesn’t change soon I’ll be  dropping your service.

I urge Spotify to make this change. There are "shows" on my Home that are absolutely not suitable for children and I cannot remove them. I can't even flush them out by playing other shows. 

Can't be that hard to fix this, now can it?

They either have the worst slowest developers or terrible management that

The platform is waning. This is basic functionality that can't get internally prioritised. At the very least the algo should take into account that some things have such short listen times BECAUSE they were not interesting to me. Why would I want some amateur podcaster trying to be edgy as the front and centre of "For You" for eternity.

3 years and 66 pages of user complaints later, spotify still hasn't done anything to address this issue, what a joke

For more than 3 years they are refusing to implement ridiculously simple and reasonable feature that should be part of their product from the very beginning.

They also use this post as a template reply to every topic complaining about lack of customizability in their app which may not be that bad if they actually intend to do anything about this, but that is clearly not the case.

In the end the pressure on their support is lower because they can copy paste link to this post and call it a day without being bothered too much while higher-ups won't even notice any issue here because it is not a critical bug that requires immediate action and even if people will cancel their subscriptions because of this Spotify won't even notice what was the reason behind the cancellation.

For a love of God, you could at least show some respect to your customers and tell them how many of them have to beg you by clicking this "+ Vote" button until you kindly decide to do anything about this.
