[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Let's face it, they are never going to allow us to remove podcasts from the
home screen because podcasts carry adverts they are monetizing the
platform, the greedy cunts.

They could at least allow us to choose our podcast preferences so our
friend can take his Tesla to the garage without embarrassment.

I will add my voice and vote to this suggestion. It will make the user experience much better if you allow viewers/listeners to customize what comes up on their home screen.

Yes, please allow us to customize our home screens! There is a NSFW podcast listed first in "your shows" that I have never listened to and don't follow, but I have to use the desktop player for work every day. Please create an option to hide unwanted content like this.

Since I lost my job, I cancelled my Premium account because I can't afford it.  I only listen to either "Old Country" music or "Contemporary Christian."  Now the two advertisments that keep playing are pushing a rock album from artists I have never heard of and from what I'm hearing wouldn't want to. 

I have deleted the Spotify App off my PC and my phone.  I am now going to delete it off my Roku. 

As I was getting ready to post this, a "Would you like to participate in a satisfaction survey"  popped up. I chose yes and let them know that since they have over seven thousand votes for this issue, that I won't be back until they empliment the option for us to modify the home screen.

I guess the only way for us to get them to actually do it is for everyone to cancel our accounts and go somewhere else.

Spotify's so-called Editor's Picks has some of the biggest pile of rubbish there is. There is also the podcasts that show up and more other rubbish "Suggested by Spotify". Just because I live in Africa, it does not mean I want to listen to any of that music. Suggestions, and things that show up on my home screen on my PC App, at work. Things that I have absolute no interest in, yet Spotify keeps showing this kak, you can't get rid of it, and it's a major privacy issue. I do not want to see nor listen to any of that nonsense.

Been a premium member for a number of years, and Spotify just seems to not listen or care at all about their customers. Clearly visible seeing how many votes and comments there are here. Spotify's response, "we are not planning to do this any time soon". Translation, we don't give a flying fvck what you want, we do what we want and when we want"

Think it's time to switch to a much better service like Deezer, google or apple.

After having listened to some podcasts I notice that now spotify automatically places these podcasts at the top of the start screen, which results in a critical *privacy problem*, since anyone who look at my screen will be able to know what I have been listening to.
Even worst, that info is appering in any divice where I open Spotify.
According to my research today, there is no way to clean it. I have cleaned cache and data in my adroid devices and it didn't hekp on this issue.

Oh hey! I DON'T WANT TO SEE DAX SHEPHARD'S FACE ON MY SPOTIFY HOME PAGE. 

Please let me hide "Your Shows" or customize the home page. I don't want podcasts featured on my music app. Especially a service that supports podcasts that spread misinformation. I won't even listen to the podcasts that have now migrated and are now exclusive to Spotify. 

Just look at this topic (and the other similar topic pages) — we're all asking the same thing. If you want to feature your podcasts, at least let paying customers hide them. Advertise to those on the free membership and offer them "ad-free, customizable features (like a home screen)" to paid subscribers. PLEASE SPOTIFY, LISTEN TO YOUR PAID SUBSCRIBERS. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
