This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.
 
We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.
 
Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:
 
A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

For the love of god fix this. It is a payed service and the shows also show on CarPlay! I listen to health and comedy podcasts which I would love to see on the homepage but instead all I get are a bunch of "natures sounds" podcast I used many months ago to sleep.

Guys just start using another service together with Spotify until you feel comfortable enough to dump**bleep** out of them. I currently use a free month of Apple Music, Deezer and Youtube Music and Spotify sometimes. Deezer seems to have a good AI and interesting personal playlists...

Just dowloaded apple podcasts and now I am between deezer and tidal for music. Also considering YouTube music haha

Ok so I just switched from YouTube music and the first thing that pops up on my home feed is LBGTQ Playlist. My first thought is wth. I have nothing against LBQTQ nor do I support it though. I'd prefer not to see anything like that on my homescreen. Why is this being forced on me? Their should be an option to remove it. Not everyone wants to see that. It would be nice of you guys to take our words into consideration because I will delete this app if it continues to pop up.

I've been testing Apple Music, Deezer, Youtube Music on android... Apple Music has almost the same lind**bleep** going on... Consistently promoting the playlists and artists i set as "disliked..."

 

My best experience is with Deezer, in terms of AI and personalization...

I seriously think spotify should consider providing customizing options to its customers.To people like me who are not all interested in podcast the main page is simply a lot of unnecessary clutter.As a music streaming site i think the songs should be at the centre.Atleast allow your paid customers to customize their home screens for those who only want song stuff shown on their home page.This clutter is the single reason why i have moved on to apple music to be frank.

came here to vote in hope that this would get implemented but considering it is now 4 years old I have far less hope. I hate seeing all of the **bleep** Spotify thinks I want to listen to. No, I do not want to listen to the latest celebrity podcast so you can stop putting it on my homescreen, thank you. I do not use Spotify for podcasts, I do not need to see anything podcast related. It should not be difficult to allow a simple "do not see this again" option for this **bleep**

This would be extremely useful as I hate the podcast suggestions, but it's clear we are being ignored as this isn't a hard feature to develop.. especially with Spotify's resources.
