[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

After being a premium user for over 10 years I really think the home screen of Spotify absolutely sucks.

It keeps you in the same loop, it never recommends great new artists (you have to really dig into the homepage somewhere below to find that section) and it only gives what you've listened to. Over and over.

• "Daily mix" = same music I've already listened to.

• "Your top mixes" = again the same sh:).

• "Recently played" = How about showing me a goddam track list of what I listened to? I mean, Winamp had this in the 90's for christ's sake. How about giving me a clear history of what I listened to?

• "Mood"? Yeah, that's what music is all about now. Mood. How about good old genres?

• "Your Playlists". Right. So if I want to listen to the same playlist every new day in my life this is the right place to go. GREAT!

• "Spotify Playlists". Totally un-related playlists to my music taste. Worthless.

• "Your favourite artists again" again. Over and over and over and over.

• Then, these "classic" generic playlists with the Spotify logo on, with nothing related to my music taste. Blah!

I'm sure this is all on purpose, but I think it really sucks. I might be rude but I love Spotify and I really hope you hear this and you're thinking about creating a new home experience. Youtube has a much better style of recommending you new music and I'm sure you can do it even better than that.

Thanks for hearing me.

i would like to remove specific playlist on my main homepage.

Thanks for all the replys and likes. I just wanted to say - I am gone.

I am going to have to cancel my premium duo subscription if podcasts from the likes of greaseball Tucker Carlson can’t be blocked, as in, completely gone no longer viewable.  Just like you allow with music artists.  I want to block him and Rogan.  You have one month.  Zero problem going back to Apple Music.

Show a list of recommended/featured playlists in the home page

Checking in— slimeball Tucker Carlson is finally missing (no idea if by luck or what), but I still see Joe Rogan’s stupid face on my homepage.  Just stop pushing it so hard— what gives?  2 weeks til cancellation if it’s not gone or I’m not given an option to block.

Would absolutely love this. I hate the Home Screen bloat and I’ve even been told to email Spotify directly about this, but I’m afraid it’s just going to get lost in a the sea of emails they already receive. I understand they can only do so much considering shareholders and such, but I’m just sitting here tapping “not interested” on anything and everything in all the audiobooks and podcasts tabs. My wife uses YouTube instead 95% of the time for podcasts so she wouldn’t mind it being removed from Spotify. If I could have the option to remove them it would save up so much space and time considering I open the app and the very first thing I do is click “Your Library” because that’s exactly what I want/need. My music. Everything is else is just bloat and unnecessary at this point.

Wanted to add this after finding this out. It doesn’t seem to matter if you click “not interested” or not with audiobooks/podcasts because the stuff I DO NOT WANT still pops up and when I tap the thumbnail of the audiobook/podcast “not interested” is already a grayed out thumb from when I tapped it earlier because I DO NOT WANT IT. It just doesn’t seem to matter.

This needs to be fixed. I don't want shitty podcasts fed up to me on autoplay because I clicked on them once and found out I didn't like it.

Five episodes of the "Science Vs" podcast keeps appearing on my home page in a section called "Science vs. wellness." When I try to remove it, the only option I see is to 'Add to Your Library.'

I don't follow this podcast and have NEVER listened to it. I've tried multiple times to remove it. How do I make it go away? Is this a bug?
