[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

please keep the home page consistent when I open the app! I don't listen to podcasts or watch music videos, so it's pretty frustrating when I open the app expecting my "jump back in" and "recents" tiles, but instead have to scroll through a whole feed of recommended playlists + podcasts I'm not interested in. not sure why the random change, would appreciate consistency!

At the top where it puts our recents, it would be great to have a small section at the top of the Home page that we can customize into our favorite artists or podcasts, or albums.
Maybe 4 widgets at the very top that we can customize.

I wish the app would not reload the content a few seconds after opening the app right when I am trying to click on a tile like „Release Radar“ and the wrong one gets opened caused by the reload. Please show empty placeholders instead - you know, those slightly animated boxes commonly used to indicate content which is being loaded.

Happens to me very often on iOS and also using CarPlay.

Amazing point!  It is an extremely annoying experience.  It adds to the already increasingly laggy app and poor UX.

I can't remove podcasts and shows from my home feed.

We should be able to update the home page to see diferente things

This should absolutely be available in Premium.

I pay a premium to remove ads, yet these “suggestions” do not reflect my listening history, and do reflect Spotify’s new business ventures. Audiobooks are my first suggestion, and I do not listen to them, in all my years as a paying subscriber.

To get to a usable view, I have to click Music (all the way at the top), then scroll down a full page to get to carousels with things I Actually listen to.

As a note, even the simpler “Good Morning” list on CarPlay is a pared-down yet informative view of content versus the uninformative top cards.

Lastly, when a card at the top just says “Daily Mix 2”, I won’t play it - I need the view with several artist names in order to make a decision - so every one of those cards is wasted space.

I posted this comment yesterday:

and today my feed looks like this, so I think I have to start seriously considering canceling. The whole music tab has been turned into an unusable mess.

the rest of the feed is there, if I scroll past the ads being served to premium users (Ed Sheeran?? No.)

This should be considered a *bug* - it insists on keeping a Bloomberg podcast there that I listened to about 15 seconds of one episode of before deciding it wasn't for me *weeks* ago, and which I do not follow, while there is a different Bloomberg podcast that I *do* follow and have listened to several episodes of since the other one, which does *not* show there! Stupid.
