[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

HOW HAS THIS NOT BEEN IMPLEMENTED????

I'm tired of seeing audio books, podcasts, or playlists that I've tried out and don't like LINGERING there. I only listen to a few things at any given time and I don't want anything I've finished or don't like mucking up my start page😭

For the love of god at least prioritize podcasts we follow and deprioritize podcasts we don't follow

I pay for a subscription to have a simple non eyeball grabbing experience. I do not want annother app that is attempting to have my visual attention.

The recent 2025 design changes to make the home page more like a social media app (of which I an fleeing) is not appreciated. I want simplicity. I want no recommended stuff unless I look for it. Be gone with you and with your algorithm.

Here to complain, yet again, for the second or third year in a row. Nobody at Spotify cares, nobody at Spotify is listening, we're all just screaming into the void. Thanks Spotify for really exemplifying the most undignified and dehumanizing way to treat your customers. "Have an idea? Yeet it into the infinite pool of ignoring, we promise someone at Spotify cares". I wish I could launch this entire company into the sun.

The audio book and podcast suggestions appearing on my front page on a daily basis are topics and content I have zero interest in and some are sexually explicit. I use spotify solely for music but, my wife will listen to podcasts occasionally. I would like to be able to reset the entire list of suggestion both on podcasts and audio books. Would be nice to have a list of topics that can be chosen from to start suggestions that are actually of interest and not offensive or out in left field. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

Thanks!

I clicked once on a political podcast's clickbait title, now it won't go away... ever. Where is the "Not Interested" button? My feed should not even exist. I quit facebook for a reason. Fire your management team. Hire some efficiency experts - yeah the guys from Office Space. Let the UX/UI team work *without* management breathing down their necks. The home page should be the one we'll visit the most, and often, in Spotify it's the one we least use. The first thing I do when opening the app is to go to my library.

The main page should feel like home, have widgets so we can edit it as we'd like and desire. Of course, it would be great to see the new stuff there or Spotify's suggestions, but there's nothing we can do about it today. This would allow us to explore more thoroughly as we'll actually read the Home page news and recommendations.

Whenever I open Spotify (Android) it opens on the page All. Firtst off this plays annoying videos and second it shows podcasts I never intend to listen. I have Spotify to listen to music mostly so I want the app to open on the page Music. Should I want to listen to books or podcasts I'll go look for it myself.

Or there should be a way to turn off all videos everywhere in the app without turning data saver on because I do want to listen to my music properly without reduced quality.
