[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

Spotify I know you are getting into audiobooks but I have zero interest in using your platform to listen to audiobooks or, god forbid, add them to my playlists. I don’t want any podcast suggestions either. Main page should reflect things that you actually could possibly be interested in imo.
A secondary bit to this is I am not sure why there’s so much gunk in “add to playlist” suggested songs, yeah of course, but then suggested episodes, suggested audiobooks, then your episodes?? Maybe someone’s “playlists” but definetly not mine and I have to scroll through that to get to recently played and liked songs.

There is 174 pages of comments on this and Spotify still don't give a **bleep**.

Make an option to customize what is shown on the home page. It should be fully customizable, I don’t want audio books and podcasts I might like, I don’t want random genre suggestions. Just let me pick what I want on my home feed.

me too..  I want 100% music .. I already have audio book and podcast apps..  adding those to Spotify is all pollution

I want to be able to have Spotify stop showing me certain playlists or podcast in the selection at the top of the home screen. example: during the FIFA world cup i was listening to a daily podcast about this. but now that its over i am no longer interested. but Spotify keeps showing me episodes of this in the selection at the top of the home screen even though i stopped listening 2 weeks ago ( i stopped before the end of the world cup) and i want it to not show it there anymore but i cannot tell Spotify in any way to not show this. just give me the option when i go to this podcast or playlist to say not interested anymore.

everyone has that accidental click or something you regretted listening to. if this was an option, youd be able to remove what you dont want to see on your home screen in a simple click making the app experience better and more tailored to you.

Nah they rather put more AI slop in their app than listen to their customers.

172 pages of customer feedback and complaints about home page and nothing happened, not even acknowledging the frustrations. Perhaps Spotify should focus on using AI to summarise this topic and what users really want before someone will do that for them and embarrass them in public post on social media. These are just silent, invisible complaints requiring login to view that will likely die here in the dark, but if someone will analyse the issue with AI and key problems, volume of complaints and frustrations, how long it is with no action and brings it up on the light to social media for discussions, it’s a pressure Spotify can’t ignore…
