[iOS][Discover] Restore Touch Preview on iOS App

Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

I just don't get it. They've responded to this by saying something along the lines of "In order to continuosly improve user experience we have removed this feature due to low usage rates." We clearly want it back and we have complained over and over again yet what do they add to the app? A voice search feature that literally no one is gonna use once they try it for the first time. Spotify is getting worse and worse and this is one of the best features that they removed.

I found this really useful, before pressing on another track and losing my current playlist. Either reinstate it, or, at the very least, implement a resume previous playlist button...

The fact this still works for you is interesting... means whatever was setup on their end to make Touch Preview work is still functioning, and they only removed it from the app.  They were able to downgrade (or move, maybe) available system resources on their end and save money, so that (plus neutering the app) is all that they did.  

 

Wish you could post a video too.

 

At this point I'd be happy if they simply had a "preview playlist" button on the playlist icon, it would be something at least.

I for on am not willing to settle for less. I pay for a service. If I ask for something, it needs to freaking be there because I paid to have it. Just like I’m not going to pay for pizza when they promise 30 mins or less and they’re 2 hours late.

Getting kind of annoyed by this now. This idea has so many votes! You guys just discard the good ideas with too few votes, and when an idea gets enough votes, you discard it anyway. Even if it is quick and simple to integrate (re-integrate in this case - it's not like you have to invent the wheel again).
