Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

I feel so bad for you guys that haven’t gotten it yet! its gotta be coming your way soon, I just know it!

its a little different but once you get used to it, it’s perfect, at least for me..

Anyway Hang on! There’s hope!

Well it seems like Spotify is trying to woo people to the paid subscription by offering this great option only to free users. So they will buy Spotify because of this feature???? But beware. Once you pay it will disappear

My daughter pays for her Spotify and I have to say she has more perks then me!

..but I’m grateful we all get a lil somein somein

This feature was one of my favorite on Spotify - I miss it so much, hence why I am commenting on a year old issue. A lot of us on Spotify are huge music fans, and touch to preview made discovering music so much easier and exciting. I feel like I've been adding less music to my Spotify library due to the absence of this feature - it just takes me too long to figure out whether I like a song and has made music hunting more of a chore, instead of something I used to love.

 

This is very frustrating and I am seriously considering a different streaming service. With Apple's Itunes integration, you guys have competition, and with the removal great features, Spotify isn't looking too great.

Spotify obviously doesn't listen to what their users want. I am so disappointed with how this is handled, I mean this idea has over 3700 votes and loads of comments, and still nothing has been done for a year!

 

When will you reply to this, Spotify?
