[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Hi Spotify,

Please make this idea happen soon.

Thanks.

I've posted here some time ago to say that as soon as my GF gets an iPhone, we will switch on Apple Music (would cost 15€ for 6 person instead of 13€ for 2...)

My GF got an iPhone, so she got 6 months free on Apple music.
We switched to Apple music immediatly.

I've got 3 months for 9€.

Now we can use the homepods on our house correctly.
I've found back, on Apple Music, every songs I'm used to listening on Spotify, even the least popular songs/singers.

Clearly, it's perfect now. Apple Music application is very good, with lossless quality if you want, lyrics on all songs, good recommandations (after few weeks of using it) unlike spotify always proposings the same songs again an again...

Well, I'm quite happy now. I would say thanks to Spotify for making us switching to Apple Music (we waited 4 months, but still no update here...). I don't think we'll come back honestly.

Hi,

Yeh I received 6 months free Apple Music with my Homepod Mini. Purchase as well.  So I activated it and have started to mirror my Spotify library. Music is working very well and I discovered that It also does Spatial https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT212182 which is awesome.

I already have an Apple subscription to additional cloud storage so the bundle price to add Music is not a huge leap.

I guess that I have 6 months to decide.

Hi,

I found the Switcheroo App to be really useful for transferring my Spotify playlists over to Apple Music.

It’s useful for users transferring either way.

It’s free.

I discovered that the kids have been reluctant to switch due to playlists.
So although others have mentioned such tools, thanks for posting it. I have
been paying for solo membership but now I suspect several others will move
on.
I note that it is all over the news about some other 'wonderful' feature
Spotify have produced. But they won't produce this and won't say why not.

Here are some other great tools for moving (and syncing!) your playlists over to other Music services:

It’s been over TWO years and no update on this Spotify? Seriously considering moving to Apple Music at this rate, like many others
