Playback stops after playing few songs on Echo devices

We've received multiple reports where repeat stops working & playback pauses after a few songs on Amazon Echo devices.

I am another that has recently encountered this issue. I tried every trouble shooting suggestion without success. Spotify works fine when played from my phone in my car via Bluetooth and with another music player I have. But any use of any Echo devices is impossible as Spotify will stop - often after just one song although it'll sometimes play 2 or 3. But it always stops. It's driven everyone in this house steadily insane.

OK, this is getting worse now and Spotify is not doing anything it seems??

I'm cancelling my subscriptions now and moving over to some other!

yeah I got the same

I tried a reboot of spotify and my echo

playback seems to stop at different increments but I generally don't get more than half an hour at a time. this is since the end of last week

I have the same problem - tried the reset and everything else suggested but still have the same problem - plays a maximum of 3 songs then stops and you have to press play to continue - very annoying. I only have this problem with Echo devices. Works perfectly fine in my car on Android Auto. When I play through my PC and speaker it does not happen so the issue must be with Echo devices

I reset my Echo device today (29 April), unlinked the Spotify skill, reconnected everything. I got through 3 songs in my playlist before the same issue occurred - stopped playing.  Previously it was stopping after every song, so it seems to have been improved, but it still isn't working.

@Maria please can we have an update on a fix?

@Portoman not sure - but they have until this week to fix it or I'm cancelling and going over to Apple Music!

I also have the same issue, very frustrating. It started a while ago but didn't happen every time... now it happens all the time. When it stops, I can ask Alexa to 'play' which seems to resume it, but this happens after every 2 or 3 songs.

Last night is the first time it played through in weeks - has a fixed been deployed?
