Playback stops after playing few songs on Echo devices

We've received multiple reports where repeat stops working & playback pauses after a few songs on Amazon Echo devices.

Hey there folks,

We've checked with our teams and this should now be fixed for everyone 🙂

Make sure that your Echo device is up-to-update, should you still experience issues. You can do this by asking Alexa for an update with the voice command - "Alexa, check for updates".

If the above doesn't do the trick, and the issue persists, we recommend that you create a new thread on our Help Board, so we can look into it further.

Cheers!

Finally managed to play a playlist for nearly an hour on an Echo device. It did stop once shortly around the hour mark, which I have to restart. It hasn't stopped the second time.. yet.

It's an improvement at least, because I couldn't go 10 minutes without it stopping the last few weeks.

Did a Alexa Echo dot 3rd Gen update and hope this really sorts out the issue for last 3 or 4 weeks.  After update, continuous playback still active without any pauses so far, so good!!

What about Crossfade so we don't have to listen to dead air between every
song?

Sorry folks but the problem IS NOT FIXED. I have 2 Echo devices and this morning the music stopped after 3rd song. Right now I am listening from the second one and - guess what? Yes, stopped after 2nd song. If I could guess, people with „no problem“ were just temporary lucky and I think they know it already.
Problem still exists and I am not sure if „technicians“ from Spotify have done anything. IMO they are in deep forest

I'm Brazilian. This morning the Echo worked well, and now too. I didn't played a long playlist continuously, but worked for many songs in sequence until I stop it by myself. Before it, just one or two songs played. If it isn't solved at all, at least it's better now.

Absolutely right Richard. As I have stated this morning, it hasn’t been fixed. That close to listening to iTunes!

Plays more songs, but not fixed.

I still have the same issue although it managed 3 tunes before stopping this time.

It's far from fixed.

Here's some discussion on an Amazon forum.

I was shocked to wake up and my music was still playing and has been on all throughout the workday too! Sounds like it's resolved on my end now!!
