Playback stops after playing few songs on Echo devices

We've received multiple reports where repeat stops working & playback pauses after a few songs on Amazon Echo devices.

Hey there folks,

We've checked with our teams and this should now be fixed for everyone 🙂

Make sure that your Echo device is up-to-update, should you still experience issues. You can do this by asking Alexa for an update with the voice command - "Alexa, check for updates".

If the above doesn't do the trick, and the issue persists, we recommend that you create a new thread on our Help Board, so we can look into it further.

Cheers!

This is not fixed.  My Alexa echo continues to stop periodically.  I do not have the same problem with my other streaming services.  I have also tried multiple fixes as recommended and I continue to have the problem 5/1/2024.

Not sure what was fixed but definitely still very broken for me, real pain when we use it for white noise when putting the kids to sleep, pretty poor response from Spotify so far with no time frames and sounding super pleased with themselves to have "fixed" it weeks after it became an issue

Surprised you would mark it as fixed without anyone here that has been having the issue confirming it works, and what about compensation? Broken service that I'm paying over £10 a month for

Definitely not fixed. Spotify where is the customer service? We are paying £10 per month for a service that currently isn’t fulfilling customers needs.

We like many others use Spotify for white noise for our children and we are now having broken sleep due to the playlist constantly going off.
Do better @Spotify!

in agreement with the comments here, feels like we’ve just been told to trust the process with the fix and hope that it’ll fix recently and i completely understand if it is taking a while to fix but it would help to at least have that communication so we could understand that.

also the fact i got an email today saying that the price of premium is increasing which is the worst timing considering this entire situation?! at least make sure it works before raising the price

Another day and no change. I'm curious why this isn't more widely reported as it must be affecting a great many people. On X/Twitter there's barely a murmur yet on one thread Spotify contribute but seem to have only just heard about the issue.

This problem has not been fixed and to report it as such is very misleading.

3 weeks and still it isn‘t working. And now it is getting ridiculous by telling the bug is being fixed. We are still laughing about this joke.

I guess we’re moving to Apple Music.

I have had the same issues as everyone else and have followed the recommendations but the problem continues. It seems like this issue happened only a month or two ago. This is all very frustrating as it is an obvious bug with Spotify.  I see numerous complaints but nobody from Spotify has addressed the issue with its app. I am paying for the service.

thank you.

shocked to see the issue reported as fixed. Like many, we use Spotify to aid children’s sleep and are currently paying for a broken service. Insulting you’ve emailed about a price hike when currently wasting money…

So annnnnoooyyiiing!! Still not working

I just tried it on my phone and browser on my macbook. Both are failing to play after one song. I checked that the echo dot was running the newest updates. This is still not fixed, rendering Spotify useless
