My Question or Issue
When I add songs to a playlist they don't show up in the playlist. I know they're added because when I click on edit playlist, the songs are there, however, they do not show up in the regular playlist as available to be played. I can play the songs if I go to the artist page and play them directly from there.

Hi I went through each individual artist and it turns out that they were blocked. I unblocked them and the songs seem to appear in playlists again and will play when prompted.
Hey @ThePianoGenius,
Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
In this case, we suggest you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general.
If the above doesn't do the trick, would you mind performing a clean reinstall of the app to check if you notice any difference in this behavior? By doing that, the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can find out the steps to do it here.
Lastly, if this behavior continues, we'd like to check: is this happening if you try to add songs to a different playlist? If not sure, try and let us know how it goes.
Keep us in the loop!
I tried the logging out and logging in twice, but it didn't change anything. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but that also didn't solve anything. When I try to add the songs to a different playlist, they still don't show up in that playlist. So far, the songs aren't showing up in any playlist I try to put them in. Now the songs don't play at all even though they're not greyed out. The same thing also happens on my tablet and on the spotify app and web version on my laptop.

Hey @ThePianoGenius,
Thanks for your reply.
We really appreciate you keeping us posted about this. We’re happy to know you could sort this out. Don't hesitate to reach out if the app starts to behave again.
We'll be here if anything else comes up.
Take care!

Hey @Pr_mises,
Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.
If the issue is happening with all the playlists you tried and you're using the free service, it's probably related to the country you've registered in your account. So first, we'd recommend updating the country set on your account (by following the steps mentioned in this article) to match with the one you're currently located in.
If you're using a VPN, we'd recommend disconnecting it while using Spotify as it could locate you in a different country as well.
Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.
I have the same problem, all the solutions above doesn't help
Hey there @Inar,
Thanks for getting in touch about this.
Just to confirm, have you tried following all the steps @OscarDC sent previously?
If so and you're still experiencing the same, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
Lastly, we'd also like to know if this happens across devices or only on a specific one.
We'll be on the lookout.
