Songs aren't saving

Every time I try to save an album to my music.. It saves for that session while I'm in the app.. But then when I come back later.. The songs aren't in My Music library. I pay for premium!

music timer use on iphone

On my Ipad the music timer plays throughout the time the song is being played, so I can see how much time is left of the song. On the iphone it does not do that, Why? In my line of work it is helpful to see the amount of time left per song.
