Could not verify me as a student but charged as a student, still not given premium?

Could not verify me as a student but charged as a student, still not given premium?

I tried to subscribe to Spotify student but the student identification service was unable to identify me as a student. This was after I put in my credit card information. I exited from the page, because it told me I was not a student and not qualified for the discount, so I decided I didn't want premium without it. I did not have a premium subscription before this, so I decided I would just deal with free Spotify until the fall. Today I looked at my bank account and noticed I was charged $5.36 by Spotify USA even though I have not been receiving premium services, was told I was not a student, and my account subscription still says "free". I tried logging out and back in but it still won't give me premium, and I am confused because it told me I wasn't a student in the first place. How do I get a refund and make sure I'm not charged again, or how do I get premium which i was charged for?

You were charged because you added in your credit card info, I know that it's unfortunate when you notice that you're not qualified as a student yet you were charged for it without getting any premium features.
