This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Please let me disable or hide podcasts and shows. I’m tired of being blasted with political garbage when I want to listen to my music… I should be able to open the app and jump right into my music but it has changed so much over the years that I gotta click around a few times to figure out where my playlists are. Would be great to customize your launch home page!!

And Spotify has the balls to say they listen and care about their customers. Absolutely pathetic.

This is so damn frustrating I have to see the face of my ex on a playlist I haven’t listened to in almost a year every time I open the app. Talk about triggering.

The suggestions are absolute shite, but the least you could do is let users hide a playlist from the suggestions. I’m a programmer and I could implement this in FIVE HOURS. Get your house in order Spotify.

What the **bleep** Spotify, this is a fairly easy feature to implement, and it's obviously rubbing people the wrong way cause of your oftentime terrible recommendations.

Every day, more paying users are saying the exact same thing. They hate what Spotify is doing with the home screen, by forcing content on us that we didn't ask for with no way to down-vote it, sort it, eliminate it, or fix it, wasting screenspace, and creating a horrible UX. 

What logic are you using to keep a podcast ranking in the top spots where we might have only listened to them for a few seconds and then will never use them again?  Obviously, not engagement metrics, which would naturally power most machine learning systems.

How is it possible that you can recommend new related music to my playlists based on what I 'like'd but you can't seem to do the same thing for something as important as the first page we see in the app. 

The "Not Right Now" answer is garbage, It's hard to believe that any Product Manager who is working on this platform wouldn't care about what the users are reporting, which is all highly valuable real feedback.

Here is my home screen. Full of dhit i dont want to see. There is not a single personal playlist nor any AI personalized playlist. Spotify also erased useful stuff like time capsule, rewind and repeat, etc nowhere to be found.

For a while ive been using Deezer and Apple Music together with Spotify. I transferred all my listening data from Spoyify to Deezer...

 

Currently i feel comfortable enough to dump Spotify. We have gotten to know each other with Deezer... It even has a better sound quality and the music it offers started to become as i like.

Here is my new home screen, not a single thing which is unrelated to my listening profile, i like it:

Deezer is currently my absolute favorite, ahead of Apple Music and way ahead of Spotify.

Music and podcasts separate, better quality, great suggestions of new music...and the community is taken seriously.

But I have another big problem with Spotify, my daughter and my wife don't want to switch.
