cannot vote (thumbs up or down) on a song after it has finished

I like to listen to a complete song on radio mode before giving a thumbs up or down to help tune the station to my needs, but if i don't run to my IOS device within seconds of the end, it's too late -- can no longer vote on the song? what am i missin...
