Here we aim to keep you in the loop with regards to some of the most reported and viewed ongoing issues here in our Spotify Community.
We share updates from behind the scenes to let you know what's been fixed, what we’re tracking, and what we need your help with. You can also check the full Ongoing Issue section here.
FIXED
1. Songs skip after a minute when using Spotify Connect in Lossless on LG soundbar
We have confirmation this is fixed. Please make sure your LG soundbars firmware is up-to-date.
2. Artist View crashes iPad app
Fixed! A new app version was slowly rolled out. Make sure to update the app following the steps listed here - it should be at least 9.1.46.
3. [Mac + Windows] Multi-select is broken on desktop and the Web Player
Reports came in about multi-selection not working properly on both the desktop app and the web player. We understand how important this feature is for all of us! This was fixed on version 1.2.90.
4. Back button goes back twice on the browser
We received some reports about the back button going back twice. The relevant team confirmed the fix for this one!
5. Saved tracks not showing up on DJ platforms
We received reports that saved tracks on users' playlists in DJ platforms on software like Serato and Rekordbox fail to load or are missing. A fix was put in place Thursday 21st May. This should be resolved now.
6. Google Cast/ Chromecast devices unavailable for Spotify Connect
Reports were raised from Android users indicating Spotify Connect experienced issues showing available Google Cast/Chromecast speaker devices. We can confirm this is fixed.
7. CarPlay shows the previous track's album artwork
We believe this should now be resolved for everyone - just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify available.
8. [Android] Playlists not loading
We received reports about self-created playlists (including Liked Songs) not loading on Android devices. The original issue was fixed! If you still have issues, make sure you're running the latest version of the app.
9. [Desktop] Home page not loading
The Home page on the desktop app and Web Player was not loading and instead displayed the following error: "Something went wrong. Search for something else?" We believe this should now be fixed for everyone. More info in the thread.
10. I can't delete "optional descriptions" from playlist since a last few weeks
A report was raised about being able to edit playlist descriptions, but not to delete them. This is working as it should now.
11. Volvo sensus - Blank Home tab
Fixed! The Home screen of the app on Volvo Sensus should be working as expected.
12. Spotify not playing on Android devices
We can confirm this is fixed. If anyone is still experiencing any of the issues mentioned in the thread, log out of the app and back in twice in a row. It'll trigger a manual sync of the settings and data of the device.
13. Downtime June 16th: Spotify not loading or showing error messages
This was a short-lived ongoing issue, which was quickly resolved! 💚
14. Wireless Android Auto Lossless Bug
The relevant team has made some changes backstage so this should now be fixed for everyone running version 9.1.54 and above. Make sure to update the app if you haven't already.
15. Songs and albums originally in Japanese are now displayed in Romaji
It seems that the original titles in Japanese are intended for users in Japan. Users from outside of Japan would get the Romaji versions. We understand how this might be confusing though and we are actively working on improving the experience for everyone. Thanks for sharing your feedback here, we appreciate it.
16. Issues with Spotify services (login, subscription status, etc.)
Things should now be resolved and working properly. Thank you for the patience with this one!
17. Playlist order changed in Android Auto
The team has discovered the root cause of the issue and has scheduled a fix in an upcoming version of Spotify: 9.1.54.688! Make sure you're always keeping the app updated in the meantime.
18. Bug: Issue with dragging liked songs back in to liked songs playlist
Our teams have made some changes backstage and this should be fixed now. Make sure to keep your app up to date so you don't miss out on any developments.
UNDER INVESTIGATION
19. Your Episodes, Remove finished episodes after playing doesn't work
The setting to remove finished episodes from the Your Episodes list no longer works for podcasts that have been downloaded either manually or via auto-download.
20. Unable to remove local files from Liked songs
We’ve heard from some users that Local files in the Liked Songs playlist can’t be removed and appear greyed out.

21. Spotify disconnects from Bluetooth when open and changes playlists
If you encounter this issue, please reply here with the info we've requested.
22. IOS Spotify app resumes playback after disconnecting Bluetooth audio device
We're trying to gather some further info from anyone affected by this, so make sure to share if you're experiencing this.
23. Spotify pixelated grey screen on my Google TV
We're happy to say that this issue should now be fixed. We'd like you confirm if things are now working as they should on your end though, so please do reply in the thread 😄
NOT RIGHT NOW
24. New album tracks have different URIs on mobile and desktop
It seems it has to do with the fact that certain tracks from the album were previously released as part of singles. We've forwarded the details to the relevant team who'll investigate further. Thanks again for sharing!
25. [Android + iOS] Volume steps too big when using "Spotify Connect"
We've passed your comments on to the relevant team so they can have another look into this. We're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at the moment.
26. Problem with specific podcasts in the Web Player
We've heard back from the relevant team and they're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at this time, but rest assured this will remain on their radar.
27. Bug? Listening stats X weeks in top 5 not updating
Rest assured the team is actively looking to extending the amount of weeks shown. In the meantime, we'd recommend always keeping your app updated so you don't miss a thing.
28. Insanely high battery impact and usage
We're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at this time, but rest assured this will remain on our relevant teams' radar.
29. Bug: Volvo Sensus Spotify app connecting significantly longer
We're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at the moment, but we’re regularly looking for opportunities to enhance the user experience for everyone.
