[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

Please let me get ride of the "episodes for you" sections.

When I go on my Spotify desktop app, I personally do NOT want recommendations/suggestions from Spotify. It is extremely irritating that I have the option to minimize my library, and the search section, but I have absolutely no option to minimize the 'Good morning' home space from my desktop. You're taking away options from users and not allowing them to use Spotify in a way that they like best

Allow parents to immediately delete and block content (recently played, suggestions/recommendations)

on all aspects of the app, (Especially the Home Screen, and Library) and on all types of accounts including adult accounts.

Not that it'll make a difference, but I'm yet ANOTHER person that is sick of seeing podcasts I listened to ONCE displayed on my homepage under "My Shows" (despite me never having followed them) every time I open Spotify. It's shocking that something as basic as a hide/remove option has still not been implemented, and they're just ignoring the problem. Be careful what podcasts you listen to as it will be the first thing displayed when you open the app for the rest of your life, apparently.

I literally only listened to the first few minutes of some random podcast and now it's permanently on my Home Screen under Your Shows, whereas the ones I actually listen to are pushed somewhere below.

I 100% agree that this should be available; this and/or the ability to block certain playlists, or blocking playlists by profiles you've blocked.

Idk about you guys, but if I collabed on a playlist a girl had and she cheats on me, I want to never see it again.

Now Spotify is recommending to me Nazi podcasts including a podcast on Adolf Hitler prominently displaying one of Hitler's official pictures used to advertise him during the Nazi era. Stop this insanity!  Shut down the AI that is doing this.  Spotify needs to let subscribers opt out of these podcast recommendations.    This is absolutely crazy.  It is bad business.  And it is not the decent thing to do. If you sow the wind you will reap the whirlwind.

I go to Spotify to listen to music and relax.  If others wish to listen to podcasts, that is fine.  If others wish to receive recommendations of podcasts, that is fine.  But allow loyal subscribers to opt out of recommendations that they find offensive.  I suspect very few of your subscribers want to receive recommendations of podcasts on Hitler.  In any event, let me opt out of receiving such recommendations.  In the long run, doing the decent thing will earn Spotify more money.

That is entirely unacceptable!

This is intentional and malicious at this point - Spotify: you have no excuses for behaving this way. You have (had?) many loyal customers who believed in you and the product you created. Here we are half a decade after this was first raised and still you continue sticking your head in the sand. Not being able to curate content from my home page, or edit podcasts from a section titled "Your Shows" is beyond simply poor design. I find myself not wanting to click on any new content or discover anything new at all because I don't want it to appear on my home page or some recommendation section later on. The aspect of this I think you're not understanding is that many of us use Spotify in social contexts where it can be profoundly damaging to have certain types of content appear which we may or may not have listened to or been interested in at all. We become instantly guilty by association and this can lead to very real consequences. Not having the ability to simply remove an offensive podcast from "your shows" is incredibly shortsighted. At the very least rename the section to something that doesn't imply ownership or direct, continued interest in the content contained within.
