Playlists gone on iphone but not ipad

Does updating iOS delete my downloaded music?

I am planning to update my iOS 9.1 to 9.2. Will this process delete my offline/downloaded music? I understand that updating iOS basically uninstalls then re-installs my apps, but how about the data for Spotify app? Thank you!
