Strange design choice

What is the the thought behind putting the off/online toggle right beneath the shuffle button? I work on a ship, meaning days without internet, and found out the hard way that a simple misclick removed about 1500 songs from my offline playlists.

permanent pause on mobile

Inbox notifications

Is there no way to get notifications on Spotify Android when someone sends something to my inbox? Seems like an obvious feature. Someone will send me something and I won't find out about it for days until I open Spotify on my desktop.
