Superuser Contribution Autoplay still on when setting turned off

I'm a premium subscriber, running Oreo 8.1, and I despise autoplay. The darn thing won't turn off. Even when the setting is switched off. I've seen threads with this issue dating back over a year and a half. Not a good way to treat paying customers.
