[Android] Playlists not loading

We're seeing reports from users that self-created playlists (including Liked Songs) won’t load on Android devices.

This mostly seems to be happening to Samsung devices, both on mobile and tablet.

@Justwanthelp2 I have a Samsung/Android as well. Are none of your playlists titles showing up or is it just the songs in your playlists? If you cannot see the songs in your playlists, have you tried changing you playlist from public to private or private to public? You may be able to see the songs on your playlists for a short time. Not an ideal solution but I got to see songs on one of my playlists for a short period of time today. If the name of your playlists do not show up at all, I have no suggestions. I feel you though. It is frustrating. I hope that this fix this soon!

Can confirm, not receiving help, unable to see any playlists. Currently on s25 ultra, latest update, chatbots/Ai DO NOT HELP

I didn't do anything new, but my playlists are back to working normally now

Hey everyone,

What initially caused this issue should now be fixed, so feel free to try some basic troubleshooting if you're still experiencing issues:

• Log out from the app and then log back in again.
• Clear stored cache.
• A clean reinstall.
• Updating the app to the latest version.

Should you still have troubles, however, let us know what device/OS you're using, along with the Spotify version, and we'll investigate further.

Hi! There is a big problem with the Spotify app! I don't know if it's only on the Android version (using Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra) or not! Playlists keep refreshing themselves and the app always gets me to the top of it after the refresh and I always have to scroll back to where I was. That happens mostly when I have another app opened as well and I switch to that app and Spotify runs in the background. It is so annoying! Especially when you have thousands of songs in a playlist! Please resolve this issue! The Spotify app is updated to the latest version and I have also deleted the cache and I have logged in and out a couple of times and also reinstalled the app. Nothing works! I'm a Premium user btw! I pay a subscription! Not using the Free version!

Hello ive been having the same problem and i have been contacting Spotify about this issue and all they reply is to update the app😭😭 wth

Hey folks!

This original issue which was causing this in May is now fixed - make sure you're running the latest app version. Another option is to perform a clean reinstall of the app, as this will also ensure you're using the latest one.

We do still see some reports of the app misbehaving when loading playlists, so feel free to start a new thread in our Help section, so that we could re-open the investigation if needed or troubleshoot your particular issue.
