Deeply DISRESPECTFUL Spotify,

are you kidding or mocking your users?

The last normally and smoothly working versions of the applications were from March 26, 2026. Since the end of March 2026, your applications for both Android and PC have been regressing after every "update".

They have become simply impossible to use!

I contacted your technical support, several people from the so-called "the Escalations team, the highest level of support here at Spotify" came :LOL (Deuz, Christian, Nica, Sebastian, ,Teodora, Aubien, Elizabeth) who were looking for problems on my side all the time. Although I also sent them videos where I recorded how the applications work from March 2026 and how they DO NOT WORK with the next "updates". They hung up on me for 4 days (from June 23 to June 27, 2026). They offered to transfer my data to a new account and consequently lose all my Spotify experience over 8 years :LOL. Finally I received the following "deeply thought out" and meaningless:

"Welcome back,

Thanks for keeping in touch. Your case remains at the highest level of Support here at Spotify. We've passed the report on to the relevant team, but can't confirm if or when they'll have the capacity to look into this. We're still thankful for your feedback as it helps inform our decisions moving forward. We recommend keeping the Spotify app updated so you always have the latest features. Feel free to check out Community to be in the loop for fresh releases and other news. You can also submit feedback and suggest new features there.

If you need us again, we'll be a message away.

All the best,

Elizabeth

Escalations team - Spotify Customer Support "

That is, expect a letter from a dead person :LOL

Don't believe the nonsense about "very large" playlists and so on! Yes, my "Liked Songs" playlist contains over 153,000 songs and I follow over 3,600 artists, but until the end of March 2026, the apps were working perfectly. Then their so-called "engineers and programmers" apparently started optimizing and writing code using AI and the results are here! The apps regress from "update" to "update" and become more and more buggy and impossible to use!

FOR ALL USERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTIES USING SPOTIFY:

  1. Delete the buggy latest versions of the apps you use.
  2. Find the versions of the apps from March 26, 2026 on the internet.
  3. Install them and prevent them from updating. (how to do this - you will find on the Internet, I will not write here how to do this, because they will not fix their bugs, but they will find a way to block old versions of the applications and you will start receiving a rude message: "You are using an outdated version of Spotify. Update now to keep listening. Device not allowing you to update? You can still enjoy Spotify using the Spotify Web Player"). :LOL That is, they offer you to use their new buggy versions of the applications and quickly forget how smoothly they worked or to use the Web Player :LOL

     4. Enjoy normally working applications and save yourself the daily nerves caused by their buggy applications.

FOR THE "CLEVERS" FROM SPOTIFY:

Spotify, if I produce shirts but with only one sleeve, because that's how I see things, would you buy such a shirt?

Hardly. Then why are you tormenting us with your buggy applications?

  1. Return the versions from March 26, 2026 IMMEDIATELY!
  1. Fire your incompetent and lazy "engineers and programmers" who pretend to be clever and optimize and write code with the help of AI! You need to understand that AI DOES NOT USE THE APPLICATIONS and cannot see the nonsense it has created!

"Engineers and programmers" in principle can, but for unknown reasons do not! Why don't they create test accounts and try on them all the nonsense they supposedly created and use us, the users, as test mice!

We, the users, by the way, pay to use smoothly working applications and cannot waste our time as beta testers for a group of lazy people who, I assume, receive considerable salaries.

So fire them and hire normal people who will make minor cosmetic changes to the interface or introduce new features only when they have tested them live and have not found any bugs with the applications. And not trying to cram in a bunch of AI weirdness that is needed by 4-5% of teenage users who still don't have a formed musical taste and admire all sorts of graphic and AI nonsense.

Don't forget that in fact, we, their parents, pay for the subscriptions of these teenagers!

  1. Playing with AI will not lead to good results!

Users will suffer a little longer and will start voting with their money. That is, they will replace Spotify with one of its alternatives, and there is no shortage of such on the market! The Internet remembers many examples of high-flying projects that collapse with a terrible crash! Do you want to become one of them?

I wish all those who suffered less nerves with buggy Spotify applications and more pleasant moments with your favorite music. Cheers.

My Spotify application on desktop is very laggy, thumbnails in Liked Songs constantly don't appear either. Switching songs and loading playlists/artist pages can be slow and it honestly ruins the experience of listening to music a lot of the time. Yes, I have cleared the app cache, reinstalled, turned off hardware acceleration, etc. This is an issue with the application itself. I have ~23,000 Liked Songs, and I know that there is a lot of discussion around 10,000+ song playlists causing issues however I don't think it is right that I should have to go back and remove/move a huge portion of my liked songs over the years and put them into separate smaller playlists as I enjoy just using Liked Songs.

Sorry I'm new and having trouble posting my own board. But I unfollowed somebody and removed them as a follower and I can still see their activity. I "messaged" them in the app, which seems to have prioritized them as a friend, but I simply don't want to see their name pop up anymore. I think blocking is a bit extreme, and I would like to just be able to unfollow them.

Good-Idea-Lover

Why don't they fix it?

I have trouble with some audiobooks. Usually I have listened audiobooks with no problems at all, but now I have faced a problem with one book that nothing happens when I press play.

I have the Spotify version 9.1.76.2050 and iOs 26.6 and Spotify Premium. And yes, I have audiobook listening time. I have logged out and in again, cleared the cache, deleted and reinstalled the app. What should I do?

Here’s a screenshot what it looks like:

Spotify app on Android has been getting slower and slower over the past year, its now almost unusable. Clearing the cache or reinstalling DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.

Device Information:
Samsung Galaxy A35 5G (SM-A356U1)
Android 16 (One UI 8.5)

Spotify version: 9.1.78.2218

I am at my wits end, im now considering cancelling my subscription and moving to a competing service. I do not want to do this, Spotify is unfortunately the best music service on the market. Please fix this stupid app.
