Is there any way to use Spotify w/ FordSync?

I jsut got a new Ford Explorer, and I'm absolutely at a loss as to how to get Spotify to connect to it over the bluetooth. I connected my iPhone to it, but the car won't detect media on the phone! Any help would be appreciated.

Syncing on iPhone4

Thanks! Should it work rightaway? There seems to be no difference on one of my iPhones. It tries to sync but stops before the first song is completed. I'am using spotify-app 0.5.9.10, iOS 6.0.1 on an iPhone 4. Really hope you can help me out here.
