Does dislike ads do anything?

I’ve dislikes the ad in good faith by byu radio 8 times in the past three days. I’ve gotten the ad 15 times in the past three days. So does disliking ads not actually do anything or is this a bug?

Superuser Contribution Spoitfy disappears from lock screen when paused

I know this is an old thread but there was no newer one I could reply to. I have the same issue. Spotify won't stay on the lock screen when music is paused. I'll have to re-open the app to resume playing.
