Spotify keeps pausing mid song and continues to do so even if I have connection

Spotify crashes when I try to search
whenever I use the search function on mobile it crashes. As soon as I type the first letter in the search it crashes. I deleted the app and reinstalled and it fixed if temporarily. Now it's happening again. It is extremely frustrating.
